Thale Sap Songkhla, also known as The Lake of Phattalung is the largest natural lake in Thailand covering an area of about 1040 square kilometers. The Lake is divided into three distinct parts. The southern part opens to the Gulf of Thailand at the city of Songkhla. Further north, is the Thale Luang. At the northern end between mangrove swamps is the Thale Noi in Phattalung province.
